St. John's Shelter Program for Women and Children

There are all sorts of ways you can raise money to support St. John's. For instance, you can enter a Moustache contest such as the one Romano Nickerson entered... and won! He raised almost $1,000 for St. John's Shelter!

St. John’s depends on the resourcefulness of others to be able to support the more than 1,000 women and children who come through our door each year.

There are many ways that you or your organization can make a difference in the lives of these women and children.

Donate goods - See our wish list for the items we are most in need of. We accept donations on Tuesdays from 1 to 6 pm, Wednesdays from 1 to 6 pm, Thursdays from 1 to 6 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm at our warehouse at 4410 Power Inn Road, Sacramento.

Volunteer your time - We have a number of volunteer opportunities ranging from preparing meals and tutoring children to assisting in the front office and delivering food and furniture.
